This instrument is used to determine the temperature below which solid hydrocarbon crystals may form in aviation turbine fuels and aviation gasoline.
The assembly consist of a jacketed sample tube Ø20×234 mm., a Dewar flask Ø75×280 mm, a brass stirrer, a cork stopper with hole for thermometer and supporting the brass moisture-proof
collar and a metal stand to support the sample tube.
