This instrument is used to evaluate the ability of inhibited mineral oils, particularly steam-turbine oils, to aid in preventing the rusting of ferrous parts should water become mixed with the oil.
The instrument consist of an internal stainless steel oil bath with aluminium external covering. The temperature is controlled by a digital thermoregulatror PID with PT100A and overtempe-rature alarm, to ensure the temperature uniformity the bath is equipped with a motor stirrer. Each position has a stainless steel T-shaped stirrer that rotate at a constant speed of 1000 ± 50 rpm.
