The instrument is used to measure the ability of petroleum oils or synthetic fluids to separate from water. It consist of a borosilicate tank in a plastic protection vessel. The cover can support up to 4 test cylinders, that are hold in place by a base inside the bath. The temperature is controlled by a digital thermoregulator PID with probe PT100A. On the cover there is the support for the stirring paddle and the speed controller to regulate the speed between 150 and 1999 rpm.
