This instrument is used to evaluate the rust preventive properties of metal preservatives under conditions of high humidity.
The panels are hang on a rotating support in a thermostatic stainless steel tank with a cover made up of a metal frame and two layers of desized cotton cloth. The test conditions are managed through a control board equipped with a digital flowmeter and a touch panel. The software regulates the temperature inside the tank, check the water level and restore it automatically if necessary, shows the PH value and all the other test conditions specified in the ASTM standard. The PH value can be controlled using the PHmeter connected to the control board and the specific external container avoiding any unnecessary cover opening and change of test conditions.
The instrument is equipped with a safety thermostat that stops the heating in case of overtemperature.
